CFI attends 17th PCNC Annual Assembly
On May 24, 2016, Culion Foundation, Inc. (CFI) participated in the 17th Annual Assembly of the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC) with a theme of “towards greater governance and NGO sustainability” which was held at UNILAB Bayanihan Center in Pasig City. The assembly was participated by various NGOs from the National Capital Region and different provinces. It was facilitated by CFI’s Executive Director. Along with him, the Human Resource and Administrative Officer and the Resource Mobilization Officer also attended the assembly. The agenda of the gathering of NGOs consisted of election and proclamation of new Board of Trustees, presentation of the Acts of the Board and Treasurer’s Report, recognition of the services of volunteer peer evaluators and outgoing PCNC board members, discussion of disaster risk reduction management and People’s Fund Bill, and workshop of best practices in governance for NGO sustainability and in financial management. The assembly was ended with raffle which CFI’s Executive Director won a consolation prize.
